Map 42. Run #26. 12/6/2020. (Elevation 103m)
Nice day for a ride into West Melbourne for a run of two halves. The first half was in the beautiful area along the Maribyrnong river alongside Flemington racecourse and then back through Footscray Park. I then headed south down Cowper St and it became quite industrial before I then turned back north to head towards my bike. Hit a dead end in Youell St due to Westgate tunnel works which added an extra km to the run. Lots of disruptions due to construction in this area.

Shortish bike ride to Hughesdale station and even shorter trip north to Chadstone Shopping Centre. Clearly not built to facilitate runners. Headed West onto Scotchmans Creek track, much more runner friendly. Left the track to follow Huntingdale Rd south to Huntingdale station then followed the train tracks back to Oakleigh. Bit tricky to cross the line, inside the station, but eventually got back to my bike. Lovely morning.
Map 482. Run #28. 14/6/2020. (Elevation 52m)
Most of map 482 is dominated by Lake Connewarre. But there is a couple of kilometres of Barwon Heads Rd which made up most of my run. A couple of small detours down Bluestone School Rd and Lings Rd as well as a couple of visits into the 13th Beach Golf Course and I was done. Surprising amount of traffic on a country road for a Sunday morning including seeing my daughter drive past. Small world.

Trialled the ride and train method today whilst public transport is quiet. Rode to South Yarra station and train to Noble Park. Started my run from the station, running along the rail line before heading south down Chandler Rd. Detoured through Wachter Reserve then around Parkmore Shopping Centre before working my way back north to meet the train line and back to Noble Park station. Happy to see my bike waiting for me.
Map 319. Run #30. 17/6/2020. (Elevation 34m)
Started near Nar Nar Goon (great name) station. First destination was the local football ground then out and back on Browning Rd. Then did an out and back on Latta Rd before doing the out and back yet again on both sides of the railway tracks. Finally headed towards the Princes Fwy before, you guessed it, running back to the start. A bit restricted by the road layout on this map. No chance to do a loop.
Map 320. Run #31. 17/6/2020. (Elevation 104m)
Only a 4.5 km drive to my second run for the day. Parked car beside Tynong station and started running East passed recreation reserve and towards Pakenham race course. Turned around at the edge of the map and headed back into Tynong then north towards Princes Fwy. Only hill of the day on Tynong Rd but got to run down on the way back. Down Railway Ave and finished outside the general store.
