Map 85. Run #14 29/5/2020. (Elevation: 69m)
Not much land on this map so lots of looping through the smaller streets. Started at the clock tower at Black Rock and headed south to the edge of the map's limits at Ricketts Point before heading back north and then up Bluff Rd. Then back and forth to Beach Rd and each side street. Quite a few people about as Coronavirus restrictions start to lift.
Map 1C. Run #15 30/5/2020. (Elevation: 79m)
Not a great run for following the planned route. The blue maps cover a small area and a 10 km run requires lots of duplications. But the complexity of the chosen route meant I got confused as to which way I should go at each intersection and in the end I gave up and just free wheeled it to make up the distance. Final course was a bit similar but had lots of off track messages from my Garmin.

Back on the Bellarine Peninsula for a run in Leopold. Nice easy loop route today, much easier than the last two runs. Drove to Leopold and started on the corner of Bellarine Hwy and Christie’s Rd. Initially headed north around the cemetery and primary school before crossing to the south side to run through new development. Lovely view of Lake Connewarre from The Avenue before back to car.

Head East to Gembrook on a cold and misty day. Despite the weather it was a beautiful area to run. Nice downhill start around Gembrook Park but my planned run was abandoned when I realised that Knight Rd doesn’t actually exist. This meant an about face and return to Belgrave - Gembrook Rd followed by a “make it up as you go” approach to the second half. Stopped at Puffing Billy’s final stop at Gembrook station. Pretty hilly and muddy.
Map 311. Run #18. 2/6/2020. (Elevation:289m)
Lots of track running in the wet made for a slippery run but it was the hills that I will remember. Headed into Wright Forest for some impressive views and whilst I didn’t really get lost - I did get confused. Cut back onto Belgrave - Gembrook Rd but not a great idea as virtually no shoulder and a bit dangerous. Back into Cockatoo and one final lap around a random block that turned out to be the steepest of the day. Bad planning.
Map 46. Run #19. 4/6/2020. (Elevation 161m)
Another ride to another station, this time East Camberwell. Slightly confusing start on pathways before heading North and visiting a series of small parks. About 9 in all, maybe more. At the north end was Macleay Park and Hislop Park then Gordon Barnard Reserve. Back south through Maranoa Gardens (beautiful) and finally back into Canterbury which included Victoria Av. Would be beautiful when the trees have leaves.
