More of the sand belt region and another 4 golf courses. Started at the corner of Balcombe and Reserve Rds. North to Cheltenham Rd which I tried to run down for one of my half marathons but was thwarted by Tiger Woods. Circled back towards Beaumaris then north again to pass both Cheltenham and Victoria golf clubs before finishing back in Balcombe Rd to find my bike was still there.

Terrible weather for a bike ride or a run. Light misty rain and cold. Another station start as good for bike security. From Ashburton station I cut through on Ferndale trail to Glen Iris Rd. Up past my daughters house and onto Toorak Rd then left onto Highfield Rd. Well named as it was all uphill until I made a right and then another right to head back towards the station. Nice to have downhill finish.

Drove to Armstrong Creek to discover a new development. In fact Lake road was still a dirt road and with all the rain it was full of water challenges. Headed south on Charlie Rd, which I assume will one day be a major road, and onto Barwon Heads Rd before looping back to the construction site that is the development zone of Armstrong Creek. Nice area but still being built.

Another double run day. Studley Park was the feature and one of my favourite runs ever. Ran along a rough track that was both rocky and slippery. Following tracks in Studley park is tricky but only got off track 28 times. At one stage I thought I was running beside the Yarra but turned out to be Merri Creek. Ran back to start past the Collingwood Children’s Farm. Hilly run but fun.

Was able to park my bike outside the Collingwood Police station so no ride between the two runs. Headed north on Hoddle St across the Eastern Fwy and around Darling Gardens. Wound my way through Fitzroy but had to detour around a shutdown of Langridge St due to a gas leak as I reentered Collingwood. Passed by my old uni house in Islington St before heading back to the station.

More Yarra river and more golf courses. Rode to Darebin station and headed east towards Ivanhoe. Followed the river between Green Acres and Ivanhoe public golf course. Then back past Ivanhoe station and crossing Upper Heidelberg Rd . Circled back through Darebin parklands before getting waylaid trying to cross Darebin Creek. Bit of extra distance but finally got back to my bike.

Good time to cover off the blue CBD maps whilst the Coronavirus reduces congestion in the city. Rode to Flinders station and proceeded to do hill repeats as I worked my way through the East / West streets. The CBD is hillier than you think. Up Flinders Lane then down Collins St. Up Little Collins St and down Bourke St etc. finished at the top end of Swanston St and Latrobe before back to Flinders. GPS not happy tracking progress in the city. It thought I was off track a few times, but I knew better.
