First run was to test logistics and they mainly worked well. Rode to Middle Park and locked bike on the corner of Kerferd Rd and Beaconsfield Pde. Ran through Albert Park and into Port Melbourne, an area I know well. Ran along the 109 tram and the Port Melbourne football ground. Quiet around Station Pier as CoronaVirus still restricts movements.

Sorted out a few logistics and locked my bike on the Tan track on Domain Rd. Headed towards Fawkner Park and around the Alfred Hospital. Turned north along the Sandringham train tracks and back to the Yarra. From the Yarra back up to Toorak road and again back to the Yarra. Picturesque but hilly. Finished on the Anderson hill that is part of the Tan.

First run on the Bellarine Peninsula. From my base in Torquay this was just a short warm up run to the start point. From here I ran to Horseshoe Bend road and north towards Geelong. Then left into Blackgate before another left onto the Surf Coast Hwy. My local area and a lovely combination of golf course and beach. Construction around this area is significant.

My first double header. Initial bike ride of about 12km to arrive at Huntingdale golf course on Clarinda Rd. Locked my bike outside a petrol station (should be safe) and proceeded to run past 5 different golf courses. Clearly this area is part of the sand belt and if I had gone a bit further south I could have added Capital golf course and made it 6. Happy to see my bike still there where I left it.

Only a short 3.5km ride to the second run of the day and you guessed it another golf course. This course was Spring Valley golf course. Parked bike at Westall Station which had the appropriate area for cyclists. Got onto Heatherton Rd which I had been on before and remember as it has no path and no shoulder on the multilane road. Bit dangerous but low coronaVirus traffic day so all good.

Back into Melbourne and another run near the Yarra. Started at Auburn Station although bike parking was not as good as I hoped. Headed into Kew and got a bit lost around Kew cricket ground. Then east to the Yarra. Another beautiful area but steep run back up to Kew junction. Made my way back to the station via the Glenferrie Oval. No wonder house are expensive around here. Nice.
