The City Loop.

FLINDERS STREET STATION. 22/3/2017. 31st Run.

Early morning start in a bit of drizzle. But at 18 degrees at least it was warm. Ran to Elsternwick station and caught the 5:57 am to Flinders St station so simple logistics. Straight down St Kilda Rd to the junction and right onto Buckley St. Only days until the Grand Prix so a bit of activity around the St Kilda area.

SOUTHERN CROSS STATION. 7/3/2017. 26th Run.

Another early start with an initial run to Elsternwick to catch the 5:57 am to Richmond and quick change onto loop train to Southern Cross. Lovely Autumn morning and quite busy in the city even at 6:15 am. Ran down Canterbury Rd onto Fitzroy St and through the Acland St Mall. Home in plenty of time to get to work.

FLAGSTAFF. 24/1/2017. 9th Run.

Repeated my standard process of the morning by running to Elsternwick and catching 5:57 am into Richmond then train hopped to get to Flagstaff. Initially went wrong way out of station but the ran through the massive flower tribute in Bourke st Mall after horrific event that killed 6 people. Using a car as a weapon on innocent people - so sad. Took normal route home after that down St Kilda Rd and Barkley St. Stormy but no rain. Humanity depressed me today.

MELBOURNE CENTRAL. 27/2/2017. 24th Run.

Same, same but only slightly different. Nice warm morning around 17 degrees for my run to Elsternwick. Getting good at rapid changes at Richmond and into city via the loop. Extremely straightforward run home from here through the CBD and onto St Kilda Rd. Nice to be out running than stuck in peak hour traffic at this time of the day. People getting coffee in Acland St so plenty of atmosphere.

PARLIAMENT. 28/1/2017. 11th Run.

This was a Saturday run so didn’t need an early start. Intended to catch the 10:23 am but that ended up being 15 mins late. On weekends the Sandringham Line usually goes through the loop but not today. Another 10 min delay at Richmand and now it was starting to get hot. Finally left Parliament around 11:30 am with temp now touching 28 degrees. Not the pleasant morning I had planned. Stayed in St Kilda Rd as I knew there would be more shade, but still hot for me.
