Cranbourne Line (Part 1) Carnegie to Huntingdale.

CARNEGIE. 19/6/2017. 64th Run. 14.5 km.

Really simple run - out and back and mainly along Glenhuntly Rd. This is about as far as practicable for and out and back run in the mornings…or night for that matter. So much construction on this line at the moment with Carnegie being completely rebuilt. Assume it will eventually look like Bentleigh. Got there just as a city bound train arrived for peak hour so lots of people around for my selfie.

MURRUMBEENA. 11/5/2017. 49th Run. 9.5 km.

Short sharp run today started with run to Elsternwick then train to South Yarra. Lovely lady at South Yarra told me that I should have put on more clothes on such a cold day. With the temperature at 6 degrees she was probably right. Fortunately only a couple minutes of waiting at South Yarra. Murrumbeena in full rebuild mode. Ironically had to wait for trains at both trains crossing on my run home.

HUGHESDALE. 7/2/2017. 15th Run. 10.8 km.

A very uneventful run this morning. Caught the 5:57 am train from Elsternwick to South Yarra and back out. Ran past Hughesdale a few weeks when I did Oakleigh so no need for navigational assistance. Getting used to Glenhuntly Rd and get the feeling this will be a path I see many times in the future. Home in plenty of time to prepare for work.

OAKLEIGH. 13/1/2017. 7th Run. 12 km.

The 5:57 from Elsternwick into the city is the best option to set up these early morning runs. Then have flexibility around a South Yarra or Richmond change. Caught the 6:11 am Dandenong line train out Oakleigh. Lots of construction around here for skyrail. Followed the train line back past a few other stations and then onto Glenhuntly Rd. Light showers early but turned into rain for last 5 km. About 22 degrees so could have been worse. home at 7:24 am, as late as I want to be.

HUNTINGDALE. 27/9/2017. 88th Run. 11.2 km.

No early train option really great at this stage so caught an Uber to Huntingdale station. Driver made the drop off harder than it had to be and I wasted time getting back across the train line to get my selfie before setting off. Most of this run was along North Rd and again this is a segment that I will see a fair few times with a lot of stations in this direction. Uber start meant home by 7am so time for proper breakfast before work.
